Important Notice for International Shipments to Thailand
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 (Thursday)

Starting January 1, 2026, the Thai Customs Department will implement a new import tax policy that removes the previous duty-free threshold.
• Previous Rule: Items valued under 1,500 THB were exempt from import duties
• New Rule: All items valued over 1 THB are now subject to import duties and VAT, regardless of total value
Import Duty: 10%–30% of item value (depending on product category)
VAT: 7% of (item value + import duty)
Example: For a $100 item with 30% duty →
• Import Duty: $30
• VAT: ($100 + $30) × 7% = $9.10
• Total Tax: $39.10 (paid by recipient)
Required Shipping Information
To ensure smooth customs clearance, the following details must be entered accurately when sending parcels to Thailand:
• Sender’s full name and address
• Recipient’s full name and address
• Recipient’s phone number and email address
• Total number of items
• Total weight
• Nature of goods (commercial or gift)
• Postal fee
⚠️ Summary
From January 1, 2026, all international parcels to Thailand will be taxed if the item value exceeds 1 THB. Import duties and VAT will be charged to the recipient. Please ensure all required shipping information is provided to avoid delays or rejection by Thai Customs.
